Celebrating Nutella day
It’s Nutella day today and around the world it is spread on bread, used to bake a cake or eaten out of the tub with a spoon. (don’t worry, we won’t judge) We want to celebrate the day by showcasing some of the different ways the nutty spread has branded itself over the years.
There has been several personalisation pop-up stations set up around the UK, where a user friendly tablet and app, make for an engaging customer experience. You can choose between writing your name (or someone else's if they are lucky) or pick between some pre-selected options. You can also do it online, where you need a pin, which you can find in selected jars of Nutella.
Pop Up Cafes
In December Nutella opened up a Christmas pop-up, on Harvey Nichols 5th floor, they where serving up 4 different delicious breakfast dishes with Nutella. Read more about it in a previous post here.
Considering that Nutella is "just" a nutty breakfast spread, it has create and generated a great amount of merchandise, including t-shirts, mugs, IPhone cases, key rings, bags, pillows, hoodies... you get it, they're on everything.
In Italy McDonald's launched a Nutella burger, the Sweety con Nutella, and yes this is the McDonald's burger bun, with a think layer of Nutella in the middle, like other McDonald's burgers it comes in its own signature box.
There's a lot of Nutella recipes out there and the 30 best, have been collected in a cookbook. Chinese New Year

Krispy Kreme collaboration
In May last year Krispy Kreme unveiled their latest creation, the Nutty Chocolatta Doughnut, filled with Nutella. The side effects include fainting, dribbling and over excitement. They later in the year also brought out a new version called the Nutty Cocoa Ring, with Nutella as icing, sprinkled with hazelnut pieces.
