An amazing line up of inspirational women this morning at the Women in Retail Spring breakfast on International Women's Day. Each of the women below shared their very individual experiences.

Emma Lindhorst, New Business & Events Manager, Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge Store

Clare Harrison-Empson, Head of International Operations, Ted Baker

Lauren Bowker, Founder, The Unseen

Emily Davis, Brand Content & Social Media Manager, Jack Wills

Alice Boetan, Small Format, Digital Store Manager, Argos

One of the most interesting insights was the importance of promoting to younger women that working in retail can be so much more than working on the shop floor. Clare talked about her experience in growing the Ted Baker brand internationally.  Emma shared her role in pioneering new type of events to develop the Harvey Nichols business. Emily talked about the importance of social media in growing the connectivity of the Jack Wills brand.

Alice talked about how being given the right opportunities and having key people believing in her throughout her career in Argos. Laura gave us an insight into the wonderful world of innovation at Unseen, which combines design, science and technology. Altogether a fantastic and inspirational event.
