Michaeljohn were looking to re-capture the glamour and sophistication of its celebrity past, being once quoted by the Daily Telegraph as ‘London’s original super salon’
We were tasked with helping re-ignite this former glory through our new positioning ‘experts across generations’ which reinforced their experience, heritage and broad client base.
The new ‘ownable’ signature we created aimed to connect the elegance associated with their past era, with a modern day audience who were looking for discernment, restrained glamour and style. The muted and rich tones and subtle references to the 40’s styling picked up on aspects of this period, subtly evoking a sense of the era of Hollywood glamour and couture service and enjoying the time to be pampered in elegant and refined surroundings.
