M&S Childrenswear
The brief for the childrenswear department was to create a concept that would add more vibrancy, colour and freshness to this important section of their stores. The design needed to work with the existing architecture of the stores, improve navigation of the genders as well as appealing to all ages from 0-16 whilst being helpful for the adults.
To allow flexibility to departments and fixtures, generic features were highlighted in silver, and we then layered in sparks of energetic colour with fun individual elements. These included movable department headers and dynamic spheres and cubes, shelves and display boxes that could easily be added to existing fixtures to provide the means to differentiate age and gender overall giving a great sense of fun whilst facilitating the retail requirements for flexibility.
